LOVELY LUCY

Leopard print. Leather. Knitted mesh. Biker boots. Gold mixed with silver.

On paper, this combination might put off most fashion lovers, but on blogger Lucy Williams, from Fashion Me Now, these pieces put together look like a match made in heaven.

Take notes, people. What might seem like a fashion faux pas can often, with the right tweaks, turn into marvelous, fascinating outfits.

WHEN IN DOUBT, WEAR RED

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Once upon a time, designer Bill Blass stated that "red is the ultimate cure for sadness."
If you're feeling a little blue, are in lack of inspiration or you've been reaching for the black's and the grey's a little too much lately, why not shake it up with some sizzling hot red.

This red suit + red converse look is pretty darn cool in my opinion, but if you're not up for the bold head-to-toe look, why not paint your nails or lips with this fiery, feisty colour instead.

If you've been reading Style Spot for a little while, you know I adore simplicity. In my opinion, less is always more.
2013 will be a year where I will continue to keep a look-out for those timeless, chic pieces that I will cherish forever and ever.

I might just kick-off the year by treating myself to that gorgeous cream-coloured blazer from COS (in the 1st photo.)

Hi everyone

No, your eyes are not fooling you - I am back from my two-month long hiatus.
Moving to London and starting my course at Central Saint Martins has been a dream, but also ever so time-consuming.
However, a new year means a fresh beginning and I am ready to get back into the routine of posting again.

I'd like to kick off 2013 by thanking all of you old and new readers who have been following Style Spot in 2012.
Without you this blog wouldn't have been much, and I am so grateful to every single one of you. Thank you!

Now you might be wondering what these photos of Kate Bosworth in London has to do with this post? Well, they're put there to remind me of my new year's resolutions: keep on exploring my new home London, take more pictures of everyday life, keep on investing in those minimalistic, classic pieces, and most importantly: to enjoy the small things in life.

A big hug from me to you xxx

There's quite a bit of sexy, grungy magic going on in this editorial from the November issue of Vogue Paris.

Lachlan Bailey has captured Anna Selezneva as a tough, care free cowboy-biker on the road wearing leather jackets and trousers, vintage looking cowboy boots, suede on suede combinations - all styled by the clever Geraldine Saglio.

So très, très cool.
Especially with that side swept, curly hair and those perfectly smudged smokey eyes.
